I don't know about you, but January 2024 has been *cold*. I'm at home and inside - at the computer working on this site and designing patterns most of the time - usually sipping on a cup of hot tea, so I only feel the blast of chill when someone's coming or going and opens the back door, which is situated about 8 feet from my desk. Brr! When my aunt, who lives in southern Texas, posted photos of snow I thought to look up from my work and check out the weather. Wow. Deep freeze from coast to coast is putting it mildly.

I'm probably not the only person dreaming of tropical beaches or sunny meadows full of wildflowers. Like many, I'm waiting for Spring.

In the past, as soon as autumn arrived, I started looking for the Pantone New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer color palettes to be released. In recent years I've been sort of unimpressed by the palettes (I prefer the London Fashion Week palettes; the colors are always more earthy.) And Pantone's Color of the Year for 2024 (Peach Fuzz) is very close in color to a standard color Band-Aid. Ugh.

Regardless, I did find inspiration in this years NYFW color palette, tweaking some of the colors a bit, and having fun creating some plaid patterns with my tweaks. I think they'll look lovely on some clothing and home decor options, and will be adding them to my shops soon.
