The Thomas Knot
ROBERT THOMAS (1714-1821) and MOSES E. THOMAS (1740-1818) were half-brothers, sons of ROBERT THOMAS III (1690-1768.) Robert's grandson, JOHN THOMAS (1786-1873) married Moses's granddaughter, SUSANNAH THOMAS (1793-1864). John Thomas and Susannah Thomas had a daughter, FANNIE JANE THOMAS, who married PRESLEY THOMAS, son of Joseph Thomas - a possibly related Thomas line. I have not found that link yet, if it exists. So, both Susannah and Fannie (her daughter) had the maiden name and married name of Thomas, which made an interesting knot to unravel.
