Cumlodden is a recently constituted parish in the Inverary district of Argyllshire. It was formed in 1853 out of the eastern part of the parish of Glassary and a contiguous portion of the parish of Inveraray. (1867: The Imperial Gazetteer of Scotland, by John Marius Wilson)
